"All are welcome into the house of the Lord! "

About us:

Garden State Temple Church was established in 1965 by Bishop Edward J. Patrick. In 1994 the church was renamed to Bethesda Garden Temple Churches, Inc.

Bethesda
Garden Temple Churches, Inc. has been a worship center of healing, praise, charity, discipleship, and holiness, as well as a strengthener of many souls throughout and beyond our community of New Jersey.  We are guided by the apostolic teachings of a holy life, frame of mind, and frame of heart, as expressed within the Holy Scriptures of the Bible.  Our fellowship is united in the pursuit of uplifting our ministry in every trial placed upon our faith.

We, the members of Bethesda Garden Temple, are currently worshiping at 6pm in Hopewell Baptist Church, 17 Muhammad Ali Avenue in Newark, NJ, due to the kindness of Pastor Grice and his staff. This is a temporary dwelling, with the hope of being the last before returning to 180 Elizabeth Avenue.

Our Vision:

Nehemiah Building Fund Project

“Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened.” (Matthew 7:7)

Bethesda Garden Temple has sustained the vision of restoration and renovation of our Building.
Due to the great effort which Bethesda’s renovation calls for, this has been called the Nehemiah Project.  It is named after Nehemiah, a man who rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem from a state of ruins, as expressed in the biblical text. Similar to the walls of Jerusalem, Bethesda Garden temple is a vast time and finance consuming project.
